  7. Going four steps further than you guys, here are 69 rock songs I would have chosen. Note – I know some of these are already on your list. Based a lot of these choices on the impact they seem to have had on rock music as a genre overall. The songs are roughly in chronological order. Here goes:

    '50s:

    Same ones you guys did. Might have added Bo Diddley's "Bo Diddley" but good choices otherwise.

    Darned if I know any!! A lot of the stuff that matches the sound you guys are going for here seemed to come from already established groups like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, and Green Day, to name a few. The biggest hits of the decade were songs like "Pumped Up Kicks", "Shut Up And Dance", "Feel It Still", and "Somebody That I Used to Know", none of which seem to be "rock" on quite the same level.
