How to change Do Not Disturb while Driving settings on your iPhone — Apple Support


Do Not Disturb While Driving
on your iPhone hides incoming texts and calls and replies on your behalf
while you’re driving. Here’s how to customize
its settings. To start, let’s change
how the feature activates. To do this, tap Settings. Then tap Do Not Disturb. Now scroll down to
Do Not Disturb While Driving and tap Activate. Do Not Disturb While Driving can turn on automatically
two ways. Either when your iPhone
senses motion, or when it connects
to your car Bluetooth. You can also choose
to turn the feature on manually before you hit the road. Let’s select this option now, and later we’ll add
Do Not Disturb While Driving to Control Center. Your iPhone will automatically
reply to texts when you have Do Not Disturb While Driving
turned on. If you’d like to customize
who receives this message, go back to the previous screen
and tap Auto-Reply To. And then select
who receives the message. Now let’s customize
the Auto-Reply response. To do this, go back
to the previous screen. Tap Auto-Reply,
and type a message. Your selected contacts
will see this message if they try to reach you
while you’re driving. In case of emergency, they can
break through Do Not Disturb by replying with “Urgent.” ♪ Music playing ♪ Now let’s add this feature
to Control Center so we can easily
turn it on manually. Just head back to Settings. Then tap Control Center, Customize Controls, and add
Do Not Disturb While Driving. Then swipe up or,
if you’re using an iPhone X, swipe down from
the upper right corner to see the feature

  1. Nice but we really need to comeback the manual control of display brightness in the setting for ios 12 soon please

  2. My activate button is gray and I can’t click it, it’s just set to automatically. Anyone have any advice ?
